Day2 - Obviously I won't keep this up

Two blogs in two days.  How's a man supposed to work with all this blogging to do?

Curse of the Babe lives on.  No longer in Boston, it will shake the Yankee Empire down to it's knees.  Really, what's the deal?  Money, money, money.  The new stadium will become the mark of the new Yanks - overspending as always (Pavano anyone?), yet producing to a tune of 4th place stature.  Many thru the ages have succumb to the almighty dollar, oh but the Babe will stand taller than all.

I'd been saying for years, "Yanks prospects over-rated."  They all knew it too, but I believe Cashman started to believe the lies he told.  Melky, yeah he melts on the field not in the dug-out.  I don't even know the other two's names; I think they got hurt, at least their egos, by carrying zeros in the win columns.  Yes, Joba has the heat.  He'll be a good setup man, and maybe he can fill in for Rivera once he's gone.  Talk about tough shoes to fill.  He should face a lot less pressure, b/c I seriously doubt we'll see the pinstripers playing meaningful games in September any time soon.  It's not hard to close for a .500 ball club.  Ask Gagne, he did pretty well in Texas.  How'd he work out in Boston?

The days of high price FA's on juice are done.  Yanks are way in over their head.  Got $88M coming off the books this year.  What is that 3 players?  what about the other 25 players on the roster over the age of 30.  The whole roster needs a complete make over.  They've got Girardi, might as well go all Marlins on them.  A-Rod in a pennant race = John Rocker on the Subway.  A Train wreck you can't help but stare at.

Here's to a century's drought from my Cubs to your Yanks.  May you carry the torch proudly.

man, there's some trashy hoes on the spin link today.  Hometown hotties, my azz.  Day1 sees the world in decent shape.

My Cubbies are working on a pennant.  Baby steps people, in case you didn't know, we're new to this.  It's been like a 100 years or something.  A small thanks to the Dodgers b/c I sure as hell wasn't looking forward to getting swept by the D'backs in Round1. "Mil-li-waw-kay", to quote alice cooper, dropped the hammer on Yost today.  Gotta find somebody to blame for the red numbers on the owners bank statement.  I believe they should have resigned their closer.  Gagne, how's about gag-me..?  Wonder how many blown saves they have?

LSU- doing like they're supposed to do, 41-3 on Texas Norte.  Word has it this is the best d-line we've ever put on the field.  Where in the hell is Perillioux so I can shove my foot up his azz?  I hate stupid people.  Real test is this week at Auburn and their herd of striped ponies.  We get screwed every year at Auburn.  I'm sure the shiite will hit the fan if we lose after Auburn scored 3pts this week.  I can hear it now, SEC overrated.  But I'm sure you've already seen that somewhere.  I'm not saying the SEC has more talent, we're just more battle tested.  Is there any doubt that USC and OSU will win the respective conferences?  No.  But in the SEC, you have bring your A++ 3, 4, or 5x a year.  By the time the team has made it to the BCS bowls, they're battle harded and ready to kick anyone's azz in the country.  Does that make any team from the SEC better or more talented than USC or OSU?  No.  Were the Giants better than the Pats?  No.  It comes down the play on field at the given moment.  There are those who rise to the occasion and those who falter.  In the SEC, it's played just like any other game.  After a soft Non-Con Sched, you hope like hell you'll catch a Vandy, Ole Miss or State b/c it's ballz to the wallz for all else.  S-E-C.

And finally, my effing Saints.  Knock on Drew Brees is he's short.  Tipped pass = turnover.  Defense couldn't stop a blind man walking on a cane.  Seriously, our d-line has got to be the highest paid in the NFL.  We seem to get pressure early in games but are beat down late.  You'd think the DC would see that too.  4DL's against 5OL's, I don't like my odds.  Don't get me wrong we were lacking in the secondary, but every team in the NFL has injuries.  People were all Shockey this, Shockey that.  One fool called the local radio station and said they'd be 14-2 w/ Shockey this year.  Forgive me for this idiot.  Does Shockey play defense?  I during the off season 7-9 or 9-7.  Any sportswriter who picks them outside thing range will be vastly wrong.
